It's a long week...

After a nice weekend that included a nice afternoon of champers swilling and face stuffing at Miss A's place,  am out of work for a couple of days due to the projector at work having a nervous breakdown (naturally this must happen on MY bartending nights, grumble grumble) so a lean week. Hopefully Friday will see issues resolved...Friday morning I report to Grant Park to begin 3 days at Lollapalooza. I've never really held any desire to go to Lolla but money is always nice.. Next Monday I break my several year streak of non-attendance at Neo so I may attend HIC's birthday party. Then next Wednesday I fly out to Massachusetts...

I should be going to Pitchfork courtesy of a photo pass from Trent at The Real Chicago tomorrow. Should be interesting, although am concerned that the large stages provided for real rock stars may prove my camera equipment woefully inadequate. We can only wait and see.

Just booked a trip home for a week in August. No big emergency, haven't seen Dad since Xmas and he's been under the weather lately and I miss him. Also timed visit strategically so that I can go to the Hudson Elks 4th Annual Hot Air Balloon Festival. Also hoping to squeeze in a visit with Cousin Dan, lunch or drinks with old friend Bob M. and maybe help dad with some house projects.

I fantasize that one day I will go on a real vacation, somewhere I've never been, by myself, with my only obligations to be sleeping, taking long walks and tons of pictures, and preferably a beach I can get drunk on.

So there's an outside chance I may be showing again...maybe..It's been suggested to me that perhaps a grouping of the creepy doll pictures might be nice...I'm thinking a group of between 4 and 6, so I ask you, gentle reader, if you have a flickr account, swing by this set and favourite the ones you think I should use...I'm also thinking I'm gonna do more black and white...
