I'm not gonna talk about work cause there's nothing to talk about. Manager at B&V bless his heart is finding little bits and pieces for me to do to get some extra hours, and with any luck I'll get to bartend this week sometime, but all other efforts have thus far rendered butkus.

Above is Corey, whom I have harassed for the better part of 2 years to come over to let me take pictures of him that didn't have the vic in the background, *finally* he wasn't working or waiting for new ink to heal. I'm pretty pleased with the results..I need more models.
OK, well I sort of have...in the absence of my rockstar temp agent the rest of the folks at my agency are treating me like the redheaded stepchild and I've had a scant one day assignment since my return. I know. If I think about it I almost vomit. I have been keeping busy however...doing this. Now I know a lot of you know a whole lot more than me about this stuff so no snickering in the back.
Above is the window of a coffee shop near my house. As I wandered Lincoln Square earlier today feeling somewhat morose about my situation, it was a nice lift to see my big giant clown feet on a poster.
This is really just becoming pathetic.
Remember how last year RU gave me the shaft just before I left to go home and tend mum? Well this year they waited till I got back. Yep, tuesday morning I was greeted with a message from my agency telling me they decided not to have me come back, no real explanation offered. So it goes....while I was gone I was seriously thinking about bailing anyway, I liked doing the photography and graphic stuff for them, but didn't like that I was getting admin pay for it, and I was really starting to hate the admin stuff I had to do...so yeah, no work sucks but I've weathered this storm before, I'll do it again. I already got a nibble from a re-touching gig I applied for..I have no concrete experience in the field but I'm comfortable using photoshop and they liked the samples I submitted. If that doesn't work out something else will. There's always seasonal retail....(insert sound of miss lis getting sick in her mouth)
In other news, I'm glad to be home and if I don't think about the not making any money part of it I like having a little time to myself and not having to go right back into the 12 hour days again, concert season is waning and I'll be back at the night gig a lot more after this weekend...Wee Tiny Princess weathered my absence like a trooper, and it's nice waking up with her cuddled next to me in the morning (although the being lonely in the kitchen routine she likes to do when I'm trying to sleep is tedious)..
Craig Ferguson is interviewing Michael Caine and I swear they could be reading from the phone book and it would still be one of the sexiest conversations I've ever heard....
Strip Tour, 1984. My first concert....I thought you were swoonsome then and even now, you've gone bald and batshit crazy but I still love you, and I always will. Happy birthday baby!
