Because your lives just aren't complete without knowing what I'm up to...
Hi kids!
So, although I didn't have a long weekend, it somehow feels long...long night last night - that could account for it. Last night went with the Hamster to meet Quattro at the Fireside Bowl - there were bands, however Hamster and I stayed in the bar - after that we cabbed over to Exit where we found Mr Chris and Miss Julie, and were later joined by Miss Kathy and the lovely Jeff. Eventually the crowd dwindled back down to the three of us, and we ended the evening at the Hollywood. Got home some time around 6am - latest night I've had in quite some time, but a good time was had, although under threat of death, I'm not really allowed to post any of the pictures..but I think these pretty well sum up the feelings of my friends in regards to my picture taking last night.
Today dragged my ass outta bed some time around 11:30, and threw a pork roast in the crock pot. By 5:30 I had what I felt to be a fairly successful pork barbeque concoction going on. Hamster came over, Quattro popped round for a quick nosh before heading over to work. Watched a movie (Insomnia - it was mediocre) toyed with going to brew and View, but ultimately Hamstress split to go home, and I went and rented more movies.
Watched The Man Who Wasn't There. Can't believe I waited this long to see this film. I've been a Coen Brothers fan since I saw Fargo, but this movie - great story, great cast, as I've come to expect from these guys, but this has to be one of the most aesthetically beautiful films I've ever seen...the choice to do it in black and white was genius, and I was just awed by it....if you haven't seen this movie yet, see it immediately. I have spoken.
Got my tickets to go home for Xmas...week at home, AND I get to go see Curtain Society at Ralph's - woo!
Mr. Mike was kind enough to secure me a copy of the new Splitsville CD on his visit to the headquarters of Not Lame records. Mr. Mike is officially one of my favourite people. Woo again!
What's great is that today felt like a Sunday...and I've still got a day left in the weekend...so I'll say it one more time - Woo!
