Because your lives just aren't complete without knowing what I'm up to...

Hi kids!

So, although I didn't have a long weekend, it somehow feels long...long night last night - that could account for it. Last night went with the Hamster to meet Quattro at the Fireside Bowl - there were bands, however Hamster and I stayed in the bar - after that we cabbed over to Exit where we found Mr Chris and Miss Julie, and were later joined by Miss Kathy and the lovely Jeff. Eventually the crowd dwindled back down to the three of us, and we ended the evening at the Hollywood. Got home some time around 6am - latest night I've had in quite some time, but a good time was had, although under threat of death, I'm not really allowed to post any of the pictures..but I think these pretty well sum up the feelings of my friends in regards to my picture taking last night.

Today dragged my ass outta bed some time around 11:30, and threw a pork roast in the crock pot. By 5:30 I had what I felt to be a fairly successful pork barbeque concoction going on. Hamster came over, Quattro popped round for a quick nosh before heading over to work. Watched a movie (Insomnia - it was mediocre) toyed with going to brew and View, but ultimately Hamstress split to go home, and I went and rented more movies.

Watched The Man Who Wasn't There. Can't believe I waited this long to see this film. I've been a Coen Brothers fan since I saw Fargo, but this movie - great story, great cast, as I've come to expect from these guys, but this has to be one of the most aesthetically beautiful films I've ever seen...the choice to do it in black and white was genius, and I was just awed by it....if you haven't seen this movie yet, see it immediately. I have spoken.

Got my tickets to go home for Xmas...week at home, AND I get to go see Curtain Society at Ralph's - woo!

Mr. Mike was kind enough to secure me a copy of the new Splitsville CD on his visit to the headquarters of Not Lame records. Mr. Mike is officially one of my favourite people. Woo again!

What's great is that today felt like a Sunday...and I've still got a day left in the weekend...so I'll say it one more time - Woo!

Belated Gobble Greetings

Happy Turkey Day to all. I hope everyone got to be somewhere with people they like eating obscene amounts of good food with no regard for calorie or fat content. I went to the new home of Spot and Wendy, here I spent the evening drinking wine and eating some of the most remarkable food (The turkey was astonishing, and to go with the apple pie later, Wendy MADE her own ICE CREAM, and it was AMAZING) with some of my favourite people on the planet...quite a lovely time. Upon departing, Hamster (who came as my date - but would she put out after I got her the Thanksgiving hook up? No. Bitch) Miss A. and I decided that it was early yet, and headed over to Foot, where we finished out the evening with vodka drinks, and Miss A. met a nice young man...Vic gave the Hamster and I a ride home....and now here I am...

Now getting ready to go to work while the rest of the world sleeps off its tryptophane stupor...granted I don't have to be there till noon - it's not like it's THAT hard to be me...but do I want to go? No. Would I rather spend the day in bed shamelessly doing nothing? Yes.

My parents are gonna be pissed

If they see this after spending all that money to send me to art school.

Much better now.

After a bit of a lie down and some much needed Ramones therapy, I'm feeling much sunnier, am now ready to get tarted up and go out.

Rock and Roll.

I don't wanna be a pinhead...

Today is taking forever...what I really need is about an hour of lying in bed (with the covers pulled up over my head) and listening to the Ramones really really loud....roll on 6pm.

gabba.

YAAAAAAWn

Last night found the Hamstress and myself at Carols...we were joined by AC and Silent Ron...it was an interesting evening - to say the very least...sorry to say no pictures...all I know is I can't WAIT for AC's girlfriend to come back to town so none of us have to endure any more of this ghastly whining about how much he misses her....it was really sweet at first...but now he just sounds like a whingey blouse wearing girl...

Once again, I'm bored out of my mind. For the love of god, someone send me an email....make a comment...SOMETHING.

I AM BORED OUT OF MY FUCKING MIND

That is all.

They brought the Polka - and it was good.

Polkaholics rocked down the Bottom Lounge last night. Excellent show - there are pictures here...after the show, Hamster, Mr. Chris, and Miss Julie and I continued on to Exit. Somewhere along the way, the Hamster acquired a grass skirt and, as one would generally expect, when a grass skirt enters the scenario, much silliness ensued. Lest you think I'm posting amusing pictures of my friends and getting off scott free, fear not - I can be seen in the grass skirt here. Just as we were all heading out of Exit to go score some bacon at the Hollywood Grill, AC came in. I can only imagine he must have lost a bet.

POLKA!POLKA!!POLKA!!!

Spent last night on couch with telly to keep me company...entertained the idea of going out, but as I don't have a couple of swarthy men to carry me around on a nice loungy apparatus, a la Cleopatra, I elected to stay on the couch, swaddled in my comforter and not moving a whole lot.

Tonight is the Polkaholics 6th anniversary extravaganza over at the Bottom Lounge - should make for a good show.
